WID Palmetto STEM Scholarship

The Women In Defense-Palmetto Chapter (WID-PC) is happy to announce the call for their annual WID-PC STEM Scholarship (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics) which will award two $2,500 STEM scholarships. One scholarship is reserved for an Active Duty Military/Reservist/Guard/ROTC/Veteran applicant. Applications are due no later than September 5th. The scholarships will be awarded on or before September 30, 2026. Funds will be applied to the Fall quarter/semester of 2026 academic term. Awardees will also receive an invitation to attend a WID-PC event.

Scholarships will be granted on or before September 30th, 2026.

STEM Scholarship Application

Applicants Must Meet the Following Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be a citizen of the United States.
  • Be enrolled full-time in a South Carolina college or university for a minimum of one year.
  • Be studying in a field that falls within a STEM discipline or a focus on national security/defense.
  • Active Duty Military / Reservist / Guard / ROTC Service Members Only: Be Active Duty Military, Reservist, Guard, or Veteran of the United States Armed Forces or enrolled in an ROTC program.

 

Applications must include:

  • Proof of United States Citizenship
  • Completion of WID-PC STEM Scholarship Application
  • Copy of College Transcript 
  • Statement of Intent (500-word max essay)
  • Resume
  • Faculty Member Recommendation
  • Active Duty Military / Reservist / Guard / ROTC Service Members Only: Provide command point of contact to verify current military status and no physical fitness test failures
  • ROTC Only: Point of contact to verify your ROTC status
  • Veterans Only: Copy of DD214
